Opie and Anthony Apologized Last Friday for their Show

The Opie & Anthony Show airs weekdays live from 6am through 12pm ET exclusively on XM Radio Channel 202 and Sirius Radio Channel 197 “The Virus”. On April 26, 2006, Opie and Anthony returned to the terrestrial airwaves after a four year absence, replacing CBS Radio’s David Lee Roth Show, which aired mainly on the eastern coast of the United States. Syndication of The Opie & Anthony Show is handled by Robert Eatman Enterprises.

Opie and Anthony Show Rundown, 92.3 K-Rock No More
On yesterdays show, E-rock had insider information about the future of the show and admitted he knew that the show was running on fumes. Opie and Anthony w/ Jim Norton’s syndicated radio show was canceled on 92.3 K Rock. Althogh I partly agree, Howard Stern is also forgetting the time difference of his departure and Opie and Anthony’s arrival to 92.3 K Rock was not immediate.

Opie (Gregg Hughes, born May 23, 1963) and Anthony (Anthony Cumia, born April 26, 1961) are the hosts of The Opie & Anthony Show, a talk radio program airing in The United States and Canada on XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio. The show is currently based in New York City; it was previously on WXRK-FM and WNEW-FM in New York, and prior to that, on WAAF-FM in Boston.

XM Suspends Opie and Anthony for 30 Days
Even though XM Satellite Radio isn’t subject to Federal Communications Commissions indecency fines, the subscription satellite service Tuesday decided to go ahead and suspend Gregg “Opie” Hughes and Anthony Cumia for 30 days, effective immediately.

Opie and Anthony also air on several terrestrial stations, including some CBS stations, but the comments were only broadcast on satellite radio.

Opie and Anthony apologized last Friday, but that wasn’t enough for XM, which is hoping to merge with Sirius Satellite Radio, regulators willing. Opie and Anthony air on one of XM’s explicit language channels and may be blocked.
