Kentucky’s State Flag History
Kentucky State Flag was design and authorized by an Act General Assembly in 1918, the first design of the Flag was not approved yet until 1928. The Kentucky’s State Flag design is drawing on the Navy Blue Silk or bunting with added seal of the Commonwealth of Kentucky encircled with a wreath of goldenrod. The Dimension of this flag were not specified.

At the first Official State Flag, it was made in early 1920 for a ceremony at Camp Zachary Taylor in Louisville. The Flag has little artistic design and was barely passable as the Commonwealth mark. After the Ceremony, the Flag are made same creative improvements. From a committee, than comes up three designs of the new Flag, after that the three flag designs were combined into one latest Flag design which was to be sent to the Governor for approval. Not mentioned the exact happen to the latest design but some how the design is seems forgotten. After log time period, the Flag was finally returned to Frankfort on 1929 and placed in the custody of the Kentucky Historical Society.
